Radiation is a treatment option for patients who suffer with basal cell carcinomas or squamous cell carcinomas. Typically these patients are not candidates for surgery. We may also suggest this treatment to patients with more advanced skin cancers. This form of therapy uses low energy x-rays or electrons and will not go any deeper than the skin.
It is quick, painless and as easy as getting an X-ray done. At times we use this form of therapy in conjunction with other treatments which lowers the risk of your cancer cells coming back.

What Are the Potential Side Effects of Radiation?
You may feel irritation or redness at the area being treated, this is short term and will heal soon after treatment.
