Katherine Braunlich is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. As a board-certified Dermatologist, Dr. Braunlich brings expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Braunlich cares for adults and children with all dermatologic conditions or concerns.
Dr. Braunlich earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University followed by a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB). While attending KCUMB she served as class president, received the C.T. Bartow Memorial scholarship, the Dr. George A. Peters scholarship, and was inducted into the national honor society Sigma Sigma Phi. In 2016 she was awarded KCUMB Student DO of the year. Following medical school, she completed her internship and dermatology residency at HCA Healthcare Largo Medical Center where she served as a chief resident.
Following residency, Dr. Braunlich joined the University of Florida College of Medicine as a clinical dermatologist while completing a fellowship in complex medical dermatology. After fellowship, it was her dream to return to the Tampa Bay area and give back to the community that shaped her training. Dr. Braunlich is honored and humbled to work alongside the wonderful medical team at Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Braunlich is passionate about education. She has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications in leading dermatology journals and has presented numerous academic posters. She remains an active member of many professional dermatologic societies and has lectured at both local and national conferences.
